Another great OB appointment! As tired as I was this morning I jumped out of bed ready to hear our little boy.
Last night 3/9/2014 I picked up a shift at work 7pm-1am without remembering that I had a doctors appointment the next day. Luckily my husband got his schedule switched so he could come to the appointment so I didn’t have to worry about waking up, waking RJ up, feeding myself, feeding RJ, getting myself dressed, getting RJ dressed, making it to the appointment on time and somehow managing to do all this with 4-5 hours of sleep. I still had to do all those things but with the assistance of my handsome man. Last night/this morning when I came in from work I prepped my smoothie for breakfast. I used bananas, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, honey, milk, cinnamon and peanut butter. And then I made RJ’s oatmeal so in the morning all I had to do was add some milk to soften it up and microwave for 1 minute !
We left a little late this morning but thank goodness I4 was free and clear so I made it on time.
Here are the details for today’s appointment
Weight gain: 8 pounds. 126 pounds
Blood pressure: 116/72
Baby’s BPM: 160. It was as high as 170. He was so active and showing off for my nurse lol
Next appointment is April 7th for my glucose testing, and after that it will be bi-weekly appointments ! Sooo exciting we are near the ed. Soon enough it will be the end of June.
Some details about my Doctors office:
Its called Delaney OB/GYN located on Magnolia underneath the 408 in Downtown Orlando. The staff is very friendly and smiley. My Doctor’s RN named Mary (who basically does everything) is such a sweetheart and so knowledgeable. And of course my Doctor, Dr. Thatcher has incredible bedside manner, informative, makes me feel comfortable and is so open with me ! I work at the hospital she delivers at and she has such a good reputation there. When I first met with her I told her exactly how my last all natural (no epidural)labor and delivery went and she was 100% on board with me and my wishes.
ALSO they have flat screen TVs in all the rooms so that keeps RJ entertained even on his fussiest days (complete life saver) So if you’re newly pregnant or just need a new OB/GYN doctor to refill those birth control pills, I highly recommend Delaney OB/GYN with Dr. Thatcher.
but if you don’t want to deliver at Winnie Palmer, Florida Women’s Center in Altamonte (Midwife Cathy Rudolph) is another great practice that I went with when I was preggo with RJ (couldn’t use this office this time around because my insurance through my job only allows me to deliver at my job lol). Florida Women’s Center only deliver at Florida Hospital Altamonte.
Anyways I am so blessed to have such enjoyable pregnancies and smooth natural deliveries (hopefully this time around too).
