Sunday Brunch Day Date

This past Sunday my husband and I went on our bi-weekly date. Lately we’ve unintentionally been going out together kid free about once a week, and it’s been amazing for our marriage. So we decided to intentionally go on dates once every 2 weeks. So one date, is a date night (typically a Saturday) and the other is a day date (typically a Sunday, for brunch, because mimosas, DUH)

This past weekend, we went to our favorite area in Orlando, called Park Avenue.  We went To Dexter’s of Winter Park. The restaurant isn’t exactly located on Park Ave, But it’s located off New England Ave which is the outskirts of Park Ave.

I don’t know about you, but I love some good ole bubbly. I’m really not a wine girl, I’m more of a beer girl, but I love some good mimosas. Dexter’s has amazing drink specials, and an even better brunch menu.

I ordered the Caramel Apple Bread Pudding French Toast, with a side order of scrambled eggs, and it was Phenomenal! I probably looked like a savage, devouring my food. Oh well, my husband still loves me hahah.

And my husband ordered Dexter’s Famous Grilled Colby Cheeseburger, with a side order of Fries. and he basically inhaled that!

Total for all that food, 4 mimosas, and 2 bottled beers was $44! Totally worth it!

Now let’s talk about my Outfit:

I’ve been loving off the shoulder dresses lately! And this dress from PinkBlush has me feeling all type of ways. and guess what? IT HAS POCKETS!

Yes girl, (or boy) you heard that right! It has pockets. I love a good comfy, breathable dress, with pockets.

  • I paired this dress up with a skinny black belt, to accentuate my waist line. And my favorite go-to Gold earrings from Charming Charlie.
  • As for my sandals, I decided to go with the tie up sandals from Target. I’m loving the neon colors in it, and I just had to wear it with this dress.
  • Then to top everything off, I tied it all together with my new gold sunglasses from Diffeyewear. If you know me, you know I ONLY wear aviators, and these gold ones are such good quality, and DiffEyewear donates a pair of reading glasses to a person in need for every purchase of sunglasses. You can get your own at 25% off with promo code ASEKY25.

    1. Thank you!! 😘 we love going to Disney Springs! They have the Lego area, where the kids can build and play with legos. And the t-Rex cafe where they can build Dino bones. Also at night, they have a kids dance party. And all throughout the area, there is live music and entertainment. It’s so much fun!

  1. LOVE your dress, mama! So gorgeous and I love that it has pockets. I am such a sucker for a dress with pockets! Looks like you had a fabulous brunch date with your hubby! And totally agree about getting out for a date night together every few weeks!
