What to Expect at NBA Experience at Disney Springs

Remember when Disney Springs was Downtown Disney? And they had a HUGE Virgin Atlantic Records store where Splitsville once was, and the Lego Store had a playground, and they had a McDonalds?!! Do you also remember Disney Quest? That’s now the all new NBA Experience.
So many positive changes have taken place at Disney Springs. But one thing that for sure never changes, is that Disney Springs is a place for everyone of all ages, of all background and all budgets (literally). When I was little I used to call “Downtown Disney” now Disney Springs, “the free Disney”. There are so many things to do for absolutely free, and there are still so many things to do for a fee. It all depends on what you’re looking for.
But the newest attraction at Disney Springs that has my husband and boys going crazy is the brand spanking new NBA Experience! You can feel like a real NBA pro at this place!

About NBA Experience
- Price: $34 per adult (10+), $29 per child (ages 3-9)
- And this ticket is good ALL DAY!– So we came, played for like an hour. Worked up an appetite, ate lunch at House of Blues, and then went back to burn off some calories.
- To participate in NBA Experience activities, footwear is required; athletic footwear is recommended.
- Adults must sign a waiver when they arrive at the venue; for children younger than age 18, the child’s guardian must sign the waiver for minors. For convenience, you may view the waiver in advance at Disneyworld.com/expwaiver.
- Hours vary: But they’re open pretty late, most nights until 11pm (sometimes later)
- Located at West Side; where the old Disney Quest was, across from House Of Blues and next to the HUGE White Cirque Du Soleil
What to expect at NBA Experience
There are over 13 different experiences that bring the magic touch of Disney with the real feel of the NBA all under one roof. From the moment you walk in, you will feel like you’re in center court with all lights and eyes on you. You will have a 360 view of everything the 1 st floor has to offer from…
- A locker room with real jerseys from all the teams beautifully displayed.
- A draft combine where you can really put your skills to the test
- Wing Span
- Vertical Jump
- Shot accuracy
- Take Pictures with NBA Championship Trophies
- Theaters showing new, short films that will draw you into the world of the fan and the player.
Once you make it to the 2nd floor, you will be blown away with everything that’s loaded there!
- Dunk! – Challenge Your Skills “Above the Rim”
Ever dreamed of dunking like Vince Carter? Well you can lower the hoop and make that dream a reality. - Shoot! – Beat the Clock, Bring Home the Win
Want to feel like you’re really in the game, with a crowd cheering you on? This one is for you! - Dribble – Bounce that B-Ball… “Show-off”
Grab a ball, hit the court and let the coach take you through the drills to assess your basketball-handling skills. This challenge is designed for a wide range of ages and skill levels—from novice to expert. - Slingshot – Score, Score, Score!
This was the boys’ absolute favorite! We did this at least 5 times. There is a sling shot that you load up with a cushiony basketball that you must aim for the hoop! - Arcade Area

My honest thoughts on NBA Experience:
Disney bringing this to Disney Springs is absolutely genius. It’s fun for all ages, all genders, ANYONE. They have nothing like this anywhere, and its for a great price. All of our boys had a great time, and the second they started getting fussy it was because they were hungry, and we were able to leave, eat and come back because of the all day admission.
However, I recommend doing this with older kiddos (like my 4+6 year old were perfect because they’re past the tantrum stage). But if you can, do this for a date night with you and your spouse at least once. I already know this was something I would’ve LOVED to do with just my hubby. When we come back again, it’ll be just my older boys because then we won have to worry about a stroller.
Speaking of stroller, it IS stroller friendly. We were able to easily maneuver through everything without an issue, and there was an elevator conveniently located in the front!
