Laila’s 5 Month Update
5 MONTHS|| How? why? When? She’s almost half a year old. I feel like I was just pregnant with her, and now she’s a little rollie pollie ollie who will be eating solids in the next month. Laila is such a joy to have around. She has been on every single one of me and Renaldo’s dates, she’s the cutest 3rd wheel if you ask me. She is a smiley and happy baby who will crack a smile for almost anyone. She always wakes up in a good mood, and ready to play! Laila girl completed our family in so many ways.
Age: 5 months
Weight: 16lbs 4oz. Homegirl is heavy!
Length: At her last peds appointment, she was 24.5 inches long I believe. So she’s a little shorty.
Size diaper: Size 3.
Size clothes: Size 6-9 months now!
Sleep: Sleep regression is real. She was sleeping so well, and now all of a sudden she wants to nurse like all night. I also think its due to her developmental leap she just had. She is sitting up on her own, so her brain is just going a million miles an hour processing this new skill.
Breastfeeding schedule?: She is still exclusively nursing (no bottle and no pacis)! She nurses every 3 hours.
Milestones: She can sit up pretty well, when she’s focused. If you get her distracted with a toy, she’ll push herself back without trying to catch her balance, even though she can catch her balance. Also, Laila finally wears size 1 in Freshly Picked Moccasins.
What she loves: She loves to nurse. She loves to nap. And she is starting to tolerate car rides. She also loves when you read to her and looking at the pictures in the book.
What she hates: She hates pacifiers and bottles.
Favorites for this month: Baby Bling of course. and she is still obsessed with her Ryan and Rose teether/rattle. She haas been loving tummy time, with all her toys on the floor. It’s find of hard to do this because we have 3 other boys in the house that are unintentionally rough (aka Joel).
