My Big Business Investment

Can we celebrate a couple huge wins for me for a quick second? Last September, I clocked out from my day (it was actually night shift though) job for the very last time. My husband and I made the choice for me to stay home to 1. Focus on the kids and 2. Build my brand. I’m not going to lie, it was scary. I’m grateful that my husbands income allowed for me to make this big step, but it’s still scary because for all my adult life, I’ve been on someone’s payroll. So becoming my own boss full time was a risk I was scared, but ready to take. This is something we prayed about for awhile, and WE (speaking on behalf of my husband because he’s apart of this) knew this was the direction our family needed to go. 

Well, this year so far, I’ve generated more income from my blog, affiliate links, social media, and hit all my financial goals by August!!! I have been given more opportunities (speaking at events, many hosted vacations, covered airfare, working with my dream company over and over-Disney in case you didn’t know) than I ever have. It’s taken me over 4 years to build this blog to where it is at today. I’m still nowhere near my ultimate goal, but I won’t stop until I’m there, and by then I’ll have a new goal. So here I am, home from Best Buy with my new “business investment”. A goal that I set for myself at the beginning of this year, was to buy any MacBook I wanted, with money I generated from my business. And I did it! (look at my excitement below-it’s borderline embarrassing)

When I went into the store, I went in with the intentions of getting a MacBook Air, and I knew this was an investment for not only today, and where I want to be tomorrow, but for years to come. So my husband convinced me to get the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar! And guys, it’s love.

But I can’t stress how good God is, and how amazing he has been for our family and my blog. If I were to even go back 1 year, I would never believe “my little blog” would have generated the views, income, “fan base”, business opportunities and partnerships it has.
