5 Quick Holiday Treat Recipes

Every year for Christmas I give handmade gifts to family and close friends! Last year I gave hot cocoa in a mason jar, with a DIY custom mug. I decided not to do that this year and try something different. I was pretty stumped on what to make, but my Best Friend Joanna Gaines (not really, but if she met me, we’d totally click and be besties) posted some quick treat recipes in her Insta-Story, and that’s when the light bulb turned on, “I’LL MAKE TREATS”. So that same day, I went to Target and purchased everything I would need for these treats.

The first Three that I’m going to share are courtesy of Joanna Gaines, and the last two was all me!

  2. Melt the Chocolate Wafers: in the microwave for 30 second intervals, mixing in between, until completely smooth. I used 1 entire bag.
  3. Roll your Peanut Butter sandwich cracker, in the white chocolate with a fork until completely covered.
  4. Scoop out with the fork, and place on Wax paper to cool.
  5. Once semi cooled: Add Sprinkles or what ever you want to it! (I like to do it semi cooled, because its soft enough for it to stick, but not wet enough to drown in the chocolate)
  6. Once cooled completely: Peel of the wax paper and place in tin or ziplock bag!

  6. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, and pour the mixed up pecans on the sheet
  7. Put in the oven for 1 hour total, but every 15-20 minutes take it out to mix it up. And keep in oven until golden brown
  8. Take it out of the oven and let it cool!

I put all the treats I made into cupcake liners within this cookie tin (from the Dollar General). It makes the perfect gift for your neighbors, family and friends!

Hope you enjoy the treats as much as we have! Merry Christmas, and happy holidays to your family 🎄
