Wednesday Faves: Burt’s Bees Edition

I haven’t done a Friday faves in a while, but I think I should do one to share my favorite Burt’s Bees skincare products. These items are perfect for playing in the sun and caring for your skin afterwards.
Since having my kids, I have always loved Burt’s Bees, not only for their cute pajamas, or their perfect plain onesies, but also for their skincare products for me. As a busy mom of 4, I always put myself last. But in order to fill everyone else’s cup, I have to make sure mine is full first. So I began investing in different skincare products, and I have a few favorites from Burt’s Bees.
#1: Burt’s Bees After Sun Soother:
Living in Florida, we are constantly exposed to the sun. It is embedded in us to apply sunscreen and reapply every 75 minutes. But do we really ever talk about after sun care? The sun will take out all the moisture from your skin and leave you extremely dry. So proper after sun care is important. I remember growing up, every time we’d leave the beach or the pool, my mom would apply an aloe blend to my skin. I never knew why she did it, but now as an adult I get it.
Whether you are prone to sunburns or not, your skin can always benefit from extra hydration. Burt’s Bees Aloe & Coconut Oil After Sun Soother instantly hydrates and soothes sun kissed skin. I think all of us can agree that working from home and managing the kids can be overwhelming. Especially when you feel like you just can’t escape. For me, my escape is going to the bathroom – my quiet space – and wiping my face down with these micellar wipes. They are a 3 in 1 wipe, that is made up of rose water that gently removes makeup, cleanses the skin, and tones. After I give my face this mini facial, I feel ready to conquer the rest of my day.
#3 Burt’s Bees Hemp Hand Cream:
All of this extra hand washing and sanitizing can leave your hands feeling (and looking) extremely dry. This hand cream which is made with hemp seed oil is rich in Vitamin E and has the optimal balance of essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. I use this hand cream every time I wash my hands so that in-between washes my hands are moisturized. I could easily go all day and they would still be soft!
#4 Burt’s Bees Watermelon Lip Balm
Those lips need loving too! Every time you put lipstick on and wipe it off, you are dehydrating your lips! So make sure before you put any lipstick on, you apply some lip balm. My favorite, and has been my favorite since I was in high school, is Burt’s Bees Lip Balm. This Watermelon Lip Balm is made with beeswax, coconut oil and watermelon seed extract to nourish and revitalize lips. I never leave home without it!
