20 week bump-date

So I just got back from my 20 week scan, and this is the BIG ONE! By big I mean they check on the baby’s heart, bones, all the organs, the brain, the spine, and they’re checking that everything is normal and that there are no abnormalities. Thankfully Laila is growing perfectly, with no abnormalities.

So as promised here is my 20 week bumpdate with some pictures of my growing bump and some ultrasound photos!

Gender: 100% girl. We did the blood test at 11 weeks with SneekPeak and had 2 ultrasounds afterwards (today was our 20 week scan).

Baby’s heart rate: 160 BPM (beats per minute)

Weight/weight gain:124 lbs. I’ve so far gained 9 pounds total! It’s not much, but when I look at myself in the mirror I see exactly where all 9 pounds went…my love handles and my belly. Laila you are so worth it!

Baby is the size of a: Banana. Still hard to believe she’s that big!

Maternity clothes: not yet. But my pants are unbuttoned all the time, and I’ve been living in loose dresses.

Stretch Marks:None at all.

Cravings: Sweets! I’ve been obsessing over cake, cupcakes and almost anything fruity! Read this blog post here for tips to fight those unhealthy cravings.

Sleep: Lately I’ve been extremely tired, but I blame my husband and I staying up until 2am binge watching Stranger Things. Funny story: we went ONE ENTIRE DAY without cable because AT&T dropped the ball, so we had no choice but to utilize Netflix, and since then we’ve been hooked.

Movement: I can feel her here and there, but not as much as my other pregnancies. I have an anterior placenta to blame.

How am I feeling:I’m okay! I have my good days and my bad days. Some days I’m extremely emotional, other days I’m as happy as a clam.

Still breastfeeding Joel?:Yep, but only at nap time, and we don’t on the weekends.

Hahaha I don’t know why I’m making this face, but I had to post it because I’m always making crazy faces like this.

Laila’s first Disney outfit. I’m sure we’ll go before she can even fit this, but being the total Disney lovers that we are…we just had to buy it!

And below are some photos from when we stayed at the Four Seasons at Walt Disney World. I was 19w5d.

Swim Suit is from Target. We bought it last year, so it’s out of season now. But it’s def one of my favorites because I have the most support in it, and I’m still able to easily breastfeed Joel.
