Starting Laila with Beech-Nut Baby Food
Homemade and Store Bought Baby Food– I’m a proud supporter of both options. With my oldest, we only made his baby food, but with my second we were all team jar food. And by my third, he was a mix of both. So with my fourth baby, we made the choice to start Laila with Beech-Nut® Naturals™. We do plan on making our own baby food, but we wanted to buy a ton of different flavors to see what she likes before I start pureeing in bulk, and plus we use it for on-the-go. We chose Beech-Nut® because it’s inspired by homemade, which is what’s most important to me. When I went to the grocery store, I immediately looked for Beech-Nut®. There are so many options of baby food brands nowadays, but Beech-Nut® is the only one that I trust with my kids. We picked up 4 baby foods, which we felt like were good options for first foods…
- Stage 1 Just Sweet Potatoes
- Sage 1 Just Apples
- Stage 1 Just Butternut Squash
- Stage 1 Bananas
I feel like those 4 are a solid starter kit for a baby’s first feed. Because this was our first time feeding Laila, we bought multiple of each jar because we knew she might not enjoy it the first time. I told one of my mom friends that Laila was still not into baby food, she recommended I try butternut squash– because that’s what her daughter liked, and Laila LOVED it! So make sure you add Beech-Nut® Just Butternut Squash into your shopping cart for your next grocery run!
Why we love Beech-Nut®
Their Background:
They are a small company of 350 employees, located in upstate New York. Their foods were created from opinions and input from mom and dads, just like us. They went into real homes, with real babies, and learned how we feed babies. Beech-Nut® Naturals™ and Organics jars & pouches include real ingredients, simply prepared

Their ingredients:
Beech-Nut® Naturals™ and Organics are made from simple and natural ingredients, with nothing artificial. If you look at the ingredients on the jar for Bananas, it’s literally just Bananas and Lemon Juice Extract (which is used to prevent browning–that’s what bananas do. I also use Lemon Juice extract when freezing/storing homemade Banana baby food). Their food is also simply prepared meaning, pureed cold to protect flavor & nutrients, and gently cooked with indirect heat.

We have trusted them for years:
We are loyal buyers of this brand. With each of our kids, this was our go-to brand for baby food. We’ve never had an issues, and our kids always enjoyed eating. It’s a brand we truly love and trust, and you can, too!

Thank you so much Beech-Nut® for sponsoring this post| As always, all opinions are 100% my own!
