Last Minute Date Night Ideas When you Have a million Kids, just kidding- but anything over 3 feels like a million.

Valentine’s Day look a little different when you have kids, whether you have to find a baby sitter, or the kids come along, or you keep It super low key and stay home. Renaldo and I have done every single date possible. High end restaurant, cheap tex-mex restaurant, stay at home, bring the kids, etc. So today on the blog, I share some quick last minute Valentine Date Ideas when you have kids or forgot to make reservations.

**At Home, after the kids go to sleep:**

Have a Disney + and Chill night. Like cuddle up on the couch and binge watch your favorite shows from Disney channel.
Cook a meal together: Go on HelloFresh’s website, and look at their recipes. Also check out your local Fresh Market Grocery store, and pick up the meal of the week, and it comes with everything you need to create that meal.
Rent a redbox movie, and pick up popcorn from the grocery store.
Play board games: Connect Four, Candy Land, Monopoly, Twister (maybe that will lead to something else 😉) and those are just to name a few.
Play 21 questions, or would you rather. These are both great ways to spark conversation with your spouse and have a good laugh.

Out on the town, FREE

Go for a walk/picnic at a local park
Look for free live music spots- if your city doesn’t have anything, check out neighboring cities.
Window shop at a different mall (to switch up the scenery), and try on a super luxurious outfit just for fun. Hey make it even more, and both of you try it on and take pictures.
If you’re close to a beach, make a little trip to have an evening stroll on the beach and reminisce about the early days of your relationship.
Go for a drive listening to your favorite songs- pre plan the playlist. My favorite thing is to curate a playlist of songs that were huge the year we got together. You can also drive to your local airport and watch the planes take off and land.

Out on the town, NOT FREE

Chili’s after 7p, they’re ALWAYS empty on Valentines- I know this because we’ve gone to chili’s for like 6 Valentines lol
Visit a local brewery- if kids are in tow-they typically have playgrounds/play areas for children. (if you’re local to me-keep reading, I have a couple good spots for you)
Consider watching a child friendly movie. Those viewings are typically empty-because who is really watching a child’s movie on V-day. And this is perfect if you’re brining the kids. You can also ask the ticket person which movie is most empty.
Go to a trampoline park. Personally I love these, and they tend to be empty on V-day, plus the kids can come along.
Go to a hole in the wall restaurant that no one thinks about going to. Try somewhere different, you may actually be surprised!

Out on the town, ORLANDO

Visit Disney Springs: Disney springs is a great date night that can be super free, or suer pricey. It all depends on what you want. I wrote a great blog post sharing everything there is to do at Disney Springs!
Visit Boxi Park: Boxi park is located in Lake Nona, and it’s a brewery and outdoor restaurant that also has a playground, beach volleyball court, corn hole, and plenty of family friendly activities. Personally if we didn’t already have plans and a baby sitter, this is where we would’ve spent V-day.
Icon park: This is where the Orlando Eye, the Aquarium, and Madame Toussant museum is located. They also have plenty of quick bite restaurants, and full sit down restaurants within the icon park vicinity.
Go to Disney World, if you have Disney passes. We did this last year, and surprisingly the parks were not full. We went in the evening, had snacks and watched the firework show. We also went a couple rides, and then went home. It was the perfect, romantic evening with the kids.
Try the NBA experience at Disney Springs! We did this a couple months ago, and had the best time with the kids. It’s truly fun for everyone, regardless if you like basketball or are un-athletic. Here is my blog post about the NBA experience.
