Spring Home Refresh
So our family room is probably the most bland room in the house. I mean, if it were a food item, it would be a saltine…without the salt. I think the only time it looks decorated is during the holidays. We recently bought a rug to spruce up the room, but still…a stale saltine.
After we took down our Christmas tree and all the Christmas decor, it went back to boring ole family room. But what’s crazy about it all, the family room is the room we spend the most time in. Where we host people in. Where we play board games in. Why have we neglected it for so long?
Well last month I took a press trip to Sarasota Florida to visit the Bealls Outlet and Home Centric Headquarters. It was fun meeting all the amazing people behind the brand and just getting to know the Bealls family. During this visit, we went to visit one of their newest stores located in Brandon Florida. It was a Bealls Outlet with a Home Centric Store attached (but with it’s own store front). After walking in, I was blown away. There was so much home stuff, for cheap and it was good. I didn’t leave with anything but I definitely left inspired to finally do something with our family room.
After looking up our nearest Home Centric Store, I found one in Daytona by the Tanger Outlets. My husband is always looking for an excuse to head to the outlets, so I didn’t even have to bribe him to take me there. When we walked into the Daytona Home Centric Store my husband was shocked with all the home options there were and the prices of it all. I quickly filled up our shopping cart with throw pillows, a few decor items and of course some clothing items over on the Bealls Outlet side.

Our family room:
Alright enough of my blabber, Here is my family room. It’s not done, nor do I think it ever will be, because c’mon it took me 5 years to get some throw pillows lol. We still have to hang some frames that I have (collecting dust I should add).

So what we did was super minimal, but I feel like it made such a dramatic difference. We added in 6 throw pillows into our oversized sectional. Our TV stand that only housed a soundbar on top now has these cute wooden lanterns, that I found for $7.99 each! And each of my throw pillows were under $10! That’s basically unheard of. So if you are looking to spruce up your home, it most definitely doesn’t have to be anything dramatic, just adding in some pillows to your sofa can make it feel brand new. Also, make sure you check out your nearest Home Centric store for all your home needs.
