Vrbo homes in Reunion Florida

Last week we stayed in a Vrbo out in Reunion Florida for Elias’ 5th birthday! It was the perfect and most safest getaway especially with everything going on. We are a traveling family, and before March we were traveling just about every month, so we knew we had to do something after being locked in the house for so long. But after looking at so many other options, having a vacation home within driving distance to us, seemed the most feasible.

With Vrbo you can put your desired destination, travel dates, how many people, pets and let Vrbo do the rest. Their website will show you all those options with the info you gave them. You can even put that a pet is coming along, so only houses that are pet friendly will show.

A few tips for booking your Vrbo:

  • Check reviews: just like anything you purchase, ALWAYS read all the reviews, and check the review dates. For example when we were looking at Vrbo options for our (now postponed) Europe trip someone wrote a review that the AC was broken, and their stay was very uncomfortable. But that review was written over a year ago, and after that review there were 15 more positive reviews about how amazing their stay was and how cold the AC was. Or even vice versa, amazing reviews for year, and the past 5 reviews which are the most recent they complain about broken AC. So make sure you do some digging in all the customer reviews before you book. Also, I highly encourage you to only book homes WITH reviews. Thats just my personal preference.
  • Look for homes that are premier partners: Meaning that the owners or management consistently provide amazing service for their guests.
  • Message the owner prior to booking with any questions you may have about the process or your stay: I love Vrbo’s messaging system within the app and on their website. The owners are typically very responsive, and great at answering questions. If they take too long, or aren’t very friendly with their responses, I’ll look for another house. I feel like that sets the mood for your stay and who you are working with.
  • Purchase the travel insurance, to protect your trip: Just like airfare, you almost always buy the travel insurance (we do at least), but you NEVER know what can happen just days or hours before a trip that will require you to cancel or postpone a trip. So I encourage you to always protect your trip with the insurance.

My favorite Vrbo Vacation homes in the Reunion Florida Resort Community:

If you’ve never heard of Reunion, it is a HUGE resort community just minutes away from Disney World. Every home in the neighborhood have pools, and are so spacious for the price point. What I love about the Reunion Neighborhood, you don’t even need to leave the neighborhood, and it’s HUGE-perfect for social distancing. When we were there last week, we had literally ZERO contact with anyone. Check out my Vrbo story highlight here where you can see all of the fun!

But all the homes there are spacious and they even have homes large enough to accommodate 30+ people, with 15+ bedrooms so it’s perfect for multiple families, or family reunions. So below I will share all my favorite homes in the community divided by pet friendly, huge family reunion type homes, and just regular ones (like the one we stayed in HERE).

Regular Size Vacation Homes (1-2 families/under 12 people)

all of these have pools, and these are homes I would personally stay in! They have the Aseky stamp of approval.
