Candy Free Easter Baskets

April 21st. Easter Sunday. The day you spend hours upon hours putting together coordinating pastel colored easter outfits. You spend your what should be your free time, roaming the aisles of local stores finding fun items to stuff into an easter basket. I’m going to be 100% honest, every year except this year, I put off easter basket shopping. So my kids are left with cheap baskets, filled with purposeless junk, because that’s all thats left on the shelves. So this year, I decided to put more thought into it, start early, and gift them cute and meaningful items. Not just candy and random cheap toys they’d end up breaking in a day. So I put together a fun little gift guide of items we are giving to our kiddos, ages 6,3 and a half (and yes, that half means the world to him), 2 and a 6 month old girl. Hopefully i’m able to help you out, and you’re not stuck shopping last minute.

6 Month old girl

- Pottery Barn Basket: We decided to go with a better quality basket, that we’d only have to get one time and reuse until they’re too old for the easter bunny. We got size large, and it’s the perfect size to fit all their easter goodies.

- Customized Pottery Barn Tutu Liner: Laila is our first and only girl, so we are living for all things girly! Give me all the frills, pinks, tulle and glitter. Basket liners are the perfect way to keep the same basket but switch up the look of it, every year. or you can totally keep the same liner forever. We decided to keep our liners forever, so we had their names put onto it. That’s one of the many things I love about pottery barn, the ability to customize!

- Cuddle + Kind Unicorn Doll: We love Cuddle + Kind! They’re a company with a mission. For every doll purchased, they donate 10 meals to children in need. Plus they’re dolls are amazing quality and will last a lifetime. I always look at them as dolls that they’ll give to their kids one day!
- Book: If you know me, you know I love buying the kids books. For Laila’s baby shower, I requested books in lieu of cards. So a nice spring-ish book was definitely a must for her basket. Click link HERE for Dr. Seuss Book
- Freshly Picked Sandals: Some cute sandals to welcome spring is a need for our Laila girl. Plus it’s her first pair of sandals, and I’m dying for her little feet to grow into them. - Easter romper: An adorable romper for her to wear after church! Click link HERE for exact romper.
- Baby Bling Bows: We are baby bling obsessed over here, so of course 2 new spring themed bows had to make it into the basket!

Toddler-Preschooler-Kindergartner Boys

- Pottery Barn Basket:

- Customized Pottery Barn Liner: This print is called Navy Gingham
- Star Wars Light Saber: Short story about this light saber. One time when we were at disney World, my oldest saw a little star wars show and was instantly intrigued by the light sabers and begged me for one. Of course I said no because hello, we’re at Disney so automatically it costs 20% more than it should. So he asked if he can get it for Easter. I said, Only if you cpntinue being a good brother and listen and follow directions. While I was putting together a list on what to put in their easter basket, I remembered the light saber, and when I looked for it online, Target had it for $4.99 LINK HERE, on sale from $10! Major score! So I got 3, one for each of them. I may regret this purchase because I see lots of fighting, and hits to the head, but their kids. Kids will be kids!
- Cuddle + Kind Bunny: Did you think only Laila would get an adorable dol from Cuddle + Kind? No way!! The boys had to have their own. They always talk about Laila’s other doll and how soft it is, so I made sure to include it in their basket. I know they’re going to love Benedict The Bunny.
- Book: We love books, and we read multiple everyday, so we added some new ones to their collection.
- Sidewalk Chalk: The boys love playing outside and coloring and used up all their other chalk. So it as time for more, now they each have their owns. Plus it was only $1 in the Target dollar section.
- Easter Themed Shirt: Aside from their easter outfit for church, they needed some easter play shirts while they go hunting for eggs! Link HERE (for toddler size), link HERE (for boys size)
- Sunglasses: The boys always wanted a pair of sunnies, and Target had these for $1 in their dollar section!
