Fall Decor on a Budget

I absolutely love decorating for the season, especially the ones that are at the end of the year (Fall, Halloween, and Christmas). Living in Florida, we don’t really get true seasons, that’s why I love decorating the house with seasonal colors to make it feel more like the season.
However, being super budget oriented and having a cheapo husband I don’t like to spend a lot of money. So in this blog post I will share with you how to decorate your home for fall on a budget, but getting the catalog/pinterest look you desire.
How to decorate for fall on a budget:
- Shop at Bealls Outlet: I LOVE BEALLS OUTLET- I’m screaming that from the hill tops. They have just what you need to decorate for the seasons for the fraction of the price. I was able to decorate my entire dining room for under $75, and probably cheaper but I went on payday so I thought I was big balling lol. But seriously, spending under $100 on fall decor is a serious win in my book. I had shared about bealls outlet back in August and we are still loving it. It’s a one stop shop for designer items for a discounted price.
- Repurpose last year’s items: There is no such thing as being out of style when it comes to seasonal decor. I like using items from previous years, and incorporating that with this years purchases. It’s a good mix of old and new, and plus it costs you $0 to use last year’s items! Just make sure you store them safely, and correctly to lengthen the life of them. We keep ours in big tub containers, with a lid in the attic. And the tub only comes down once a year!
- Try DIY-ing some items: We have a big pine tree by my house that I love to collect pine cones from and use for fall and Christmas decor. Also, if you want to have a more sentimental touch, try buying plain decorative pumpkins and decorating them-with glitter or paint, with your kiddos. It gives it a more personal touch, but for a fraction of the price you would’ve spent at a store.
- Remember, less is more: you don’t have to go overboard, sometimes and almost always, less is more. You can have subtle touches here and there without having a full on set table (with plates, napkin rings, place mats, etc). Thats what we opted to do, and to be honest I LOVE how it looks so much more. We also have a lot of kids, so having a full set table is just not smart on my end.
So here’s my dining room decor for under $75!

I think it’s fun to mix textures and colors to create a warm and cozy living room set up. I love using cake stands for almost everything but holding cakes lol. For fall time, I use cake stands to hold pumpkins, and I wrap some leaves around the base. Christmastime, you’ll find a mini Christmas tree on it with garland around.
The fun little wooden houses that I have in the wooden tray, give me halloween vibes so it had to make it in the fall decor. Also if you have wood on wood (like I do- wood tray with wood dining room table) try breaking it up with a contrasting color or element. For me I used a cream colored table runner, that I’ve had for years. This gave me a nice pop of color, and brightened up the space.
*also, please ignore my dining room sideboard shelves. Normally its super organized, but one of my kids tried playing with my mixers and that’s why its a mess and I’m just now noticing it-eeeeek*
