Favorite Healthy Snacks for Toddlers
Now that we have ANOTHER toddler, I’ve put together a list of my favorite toddler snacks.
Joel turned one last week, and for the last month we have been experimenting with more grown up (toddler aged) snacks. We pretty much fed him everything we ate, but when it came to snacks for on the go, options were limited because he can’t eat a bag of Doritos or a bowl of peanuts yet.
Thankfully we found Sprouts organics! We were in love with their baby food line, so of course we had to try their toddler line.
These Crispy Chews: Joél loves these USDA organic fruit and veggie crispy chews. They are made with crisped whole grain rice with NO preservatives and artificial colors. Not only does Joel and Elias love it, I’ve caught my husband snacking on these.
Joel’s personal favorite, the Curlz white cheddar snacks: These snacks are the first of its kind with organic chickpeas and lentils baked with white cheddar cheese, Joel is licking his fingers after munching on these.
And the go-to power pak pouches: These are perfect for when you’re on the go, and need to come keep a hearty snack in the diaper bag. When we are out and about and lunch time is creeping on us, but Joel’s tummy is grumbling for lunch immediately, I pull one of these out of my diaper bag and let him suck away. I love that these are plant based and jam packed with nutrients and there are no hidden ingredients. It’s almost as if it were made in your own kitchen.
What’s great about these snacks, whenever we are on the go, all the kids can eat from it (well RJ won’t, he said “I’m a big boy and big boys don’t eat this”, but in reality, he definitely could). But Elias enjoys these snacks as well. And if you know Elias, you know he’s the luckiest kid ever, won’t eat anything foreign, but these pouches he’ll swallow in about 15 seconds.
