My Favorite Netflix Movies and Shows

Ever since Renaldo and I realized that we have been paying for Netflix and not really utilizing it we have been hooked on it.We have binged watched so many shows in this short amount of time, that I honestly think we can give some solid recommendations.
This summer Netflix dropped so many new shows and movies, and I’m here for it. I know you’re probably wondering how I have time to even watch a show, but every night after the kids go to bed, Renaldo and I “unplug” and tune into our favorite shows. Or when my husband takes all the kids to the gym and I’m home alone, and caught up on work, I sneak in a few episodes of my shows.
So in this post I’m going to share my favorite binge worthy shows and movies, that are girls night our approved and some that you can snuggle up with your husband.
My Favorite Netflix Shows and Movies:

Movies:
My husband and I have watched these movies in the last month, and they’re so good! You’ll notice it’s a lot of comedy, but those are my favorite. I hate watching depressing or scary movies, especially just before bed. I’m that loser who will have nightmares.
- Murder Mystery: Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, need I say more? The name of this title explains it all, its a comedy that leaves you wondering who the killer REALLY is! This is a must see with your spouse!

- Always Be My Maybe: I loved this one. It’s a sweet romantic-comedy. Basically two childhood sweethearts are reunited. You’re going to have to watch this one to watch the love and drama unfold. You can watch with your spouse, however, he may not be into it.

- The Do-Over: Another Adam Sandler movie, its freaking great! I laughed so hard watching this one. My husband loved this one as well.

- Someone Great: Okay so this one was good, but not movie theater good. I can see why it’s only on Netflix. But its a good movie to watch alone (not with your husband). Maybe girls night in with a bottle of wine.

- Jokoy Comin’ in hot (stand up): This is stand up, but I just HAD to put this one on here. It’s too good. My husband and I were literally laughing the entire time!

Binge Worthy Shows:
- The 100–this one is so good. Renaldo and I are obsessed with this show. We binged watched all 5 seasons of it in under a month. We could’ve done it sooner, but remember we have 4 kids, and have to wake up with them bright and early. But I highly recommend this show!! It’s post apocalyptic, sci-fi type show. I’m actually obsessed with end-of-the-world type movies and shows so it’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with this. You can watch this with your husband!
- Good Girls: I’m currently watching this one as I type this. It’s so good. It’s basically 3 normal suburban moms who need to make money so they work with a “gang banger” who gives them illegal side jobs. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger, so you have no choice but to watch the next episode. You could watch this with your husband, but my husband is not interested in this one.
- Dead to me: Finished this one in under a week. It’s too good! So many people messaged me on Instagram about how good this one this when I posted about it on my stories. This show is about a mom who’s husband was hit by a car and killed, and she’s determined to find the person who hit her husband, but ends up meeting a new friend in her grief support group. The drama unravels throughout the series, and it’ll leave you begging for more. More of a chick show, but my husband watched it with me.
- Stranger Things: I feel like everyone is watching this, especially with the release of season 3, but it’s too good not to include in this list. This series takes place in the 80’s and some “stranger things” are happening for these young teens, in this small town. To me its kind-of scary, there are scenes that will make you jump, but it’s not too bad. My husband and I BOTH love this show!

Next up on my to watch list:
- Workin’ Moms
- To All The Boys I’ve loved Before-update! Watched this and it’s soooo cute. I’m a sucker for teenage young love movies because it brings me back to mine and Renaldo’s relationship when we were 15 years old and stupid and in love (still both those things lol)
- Orange Is The New Black (the final season):
- Queen of the South
- When They See Us
