My Morning Skincare Routine

My morning skincare routine is really important to me, and it’s a nice way to start my morning after getting my cardio in. I love this time because to me it’s like my daily mini facial, and I can mentally escape before the chaos of motherhood, business owner and wife, hits me!

But before I go in depth, step by step, product by product, I should share that I got a facial last week, and plan on making it a monthly thing for myself. My esthetician suggested coming in once a month because our skin cells renew every 28 days. Plus I noticed such a difference in my skin with the facial that I got. If you are local to me, and have any questions about my facial and who I used, her Instagram is @FacialsByFresh

Adding collagen to my daily routine:

I also put collagen in my morning coffee, or protein shake daily. Collagen is great at building strength and structure, while elastin is responsible for elasticity and firmness of the skin. Copied from the web “collagen is found in every single joint, tendon, bone, and ligament in the body… and is crucial to strengthening, and keeping all those tissues healthy! Not only that, but it helps drastically improve our skin health, nail strength, and can slow the effects of aging … among many other things” So with all that being said, I feel like adding collagen to my daily routine, has improved my skin drastically already. If you’re interested in buying collagen, THIS is the exact one I use and love.

But anyways, back to my….

Morning skincare routine:

*All products listed below are from Tula, which I have a promo code for. Use code ASEKYB and you will save 15%. I know the items can be kind of pricey, but before partnering with Tula I was a customer myself, so I genuinely love the brand and their products. I would never promote something I don’t personally love and use!

After I do my morning cardio on my hydrow, I HAVE to take a shower.I’m sweaty and gross, so I immediately run into the shower. and while I’m in there, I do the first part of my skin care routine, which is…

Step 1: Wash my face with Tula Cult Classic Purifying Face Wash

Always start my face routine with washing my face with Tula’s cult classic purifying face wash. I have somewhat sensitive skin, and this one doesn’t leave me red or irritated, and my face actually feels really clean afterwards.

Step 2: Moisturize my skin with Tula 24/7 Moisturize- Hydrating Day & Night Cream

This is favorite (day time) moisturizers from Tula. It can be used at night and during the day. but their bedtime repair is my favorite for nighttime, but day time its definitely this one. It doesn’t leave my face greasy one single bit. I feel like this one is great for normal skin, not oily, or dry, just normal.

Step 3: Roll my face with my rose quartz roller

So I always thought these things were just over hyped. But I finally bought one, and I’m so in love with it. according to almost every website on rose quartz they rave about how these help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, also reducing puffiness. I always wake up swollen in the mornings, and I love  rolling immediately after moisturizing so really set the moisturizer in. and for a bonus refresh, put the roller in the refrigerator!

Step 4: Use the Tula X Courtney Shields Glow Hour- Brightening and Neutralizing Eye balm

This one is my absolute favorite!! It just came out a couple weeks ago, but I swear it’s so good. It’s like a golden highlighter under your eyes. I love using this on days I don’t wear makeup because it gives me like glowy look I strive for when wearing makeup. The stick is like a chapstick, and it rolls on buttery smooth.

Step 5: Finish off with Tula’s newest, Signature Glow Refreshing & brightening face mist

This is Tula’s newest product and it was 100% worth the wait. This mist gives me the perfect pearlescent glow to my skin. It also leaves me feeling refreshed, and gives me the ultimate mood boost. What’s great about this particular mist is that it hydrates and protects from blue light. And being that my job consists of me being in front of a computer and cell phone for a good chunk of the day, this is really important to me. Also it’s oil and alcohol free, so totally safe to use with false lashes.
