Simple Dining Room Christmas Decor

Can you believe it’s already Christmas time? This Holiday season, we’ve been busy prepping for vacation travels. Not to visit family and friends in another state, but to cruise and visit other islands just for fun. So we have kind of been in a weird situation where we are not sure if we should decorate now, or when we get back. We didn’t host thanksgiving this year, so we’ve really just been lost.
But to get he kids in the holiday spirit, while we’re packing our suitcases with sunscreen and swimsuits, I decided to decorate our dining room. The dining room is our favorite spot in the house. That’s where we’re able to come together and eat dinner as a family, where my boys’ get their homework done. And the dining room is also where I open my MacBook up, and get work done after the kiddos have gone to sleep. So decorating the most used space in the house for the season just felt right.

So enough of my blabbering, here is my dining room:
We haven’t decorated the tree yet because we plan on doing that all together when we get back. But for now, I’m kind of loving the bare tree look.
A lot of my decor was purchased this year and last year from Bealls Outlet, and some were from years prior that we were able to repurpose. For our dining room and living room (not pictured because there are suitcases all over) we decided to go with buffalo check. I think it’s a fun and classic look, that we will never get tired of.
So there we have it, that’s my super simple and classic dining room decor. I’m excited to actually decorate the tree, pick up our real tree and decorate the rest of the house when we get back. But for now, we are loving this space, and it really gets us in the Christmas spirit while packing sunscreen and swimsuits for the next 2 weeks.
