This year we will have two little ones in preschool! RJ will be in pre-kindergarten 4 days a week and Elias will be in pre-k 2's just 2 days a week.
This will be RJ's third year attending school and he couldn't be more excited. As the big day approaches, this mama has started the back to school shopping. And as odd as it sounds, I LOVE back to school shopping. Ever since I was little, I looked forward to it, and now having kids, I enjoy it even more.
Last year and the year before it was so EASY to shop for RJ, but now he is pretty opinionated on what he wants and what he doesn't want, so I had a lot of fun picking out Elias' school stuff. I will be showing all of Elias' stuff, just because its all matchy matchy, RJ's stuff on the other hand, is all over the place haha.
Lets talk about the Backpack!
- Water-resistant coated crinkle nylon with vegan leather trim.
- One large front zipper pocket and two side mesh bottle pockets.
- Padded shoulder straps with adjustable roller, and front chest clip.
- Quality webbing top handle straps.
- Entire back panel is padded for back comfort.
- Large two-tone top zipper closure for easy access.
- 12 animal interior lining is coated with PVC-free water-resistant coating.
- Multiple interior pockets for easy organization.
- Comes with a write-able name card and slot inside the backpack.
- Free of harsh chemicals such as BPA and Phthalates.
RJ is obsessed with the iron on patches that come with the backpack. The navy blue is super hero themed, and the green is Sports theme. We know this backpack is built to last. RJ and Elias will be using these backpacks for the years to come!
Now lets talk about the Lunch items:
The lunch box and matching thermos is from Target, and so is the Ziploc food container. I've never used this particular brand lunch box before, but it had pretty good reviews, it fit the Ziploc food container pretty well, and it matched the thermos perfectly.
I was going crazy looking for a good lunch container for their lunch box, I even posted on my Insta-story asking everyone for their recommendations, and you all were awesome and shared so many good ones. But the last 3 good ones we had, we had to throw out for a variety of reasons, so I wasn't 100% on board for spending too much on a container. I just went to the Ziploc section at target and got the Ziploc brand for only $4 for a 2 pack! What I love about it, is that its divided three ways, so I'm able to put a sandwich in the large compartment, fruit in the smaller section, and maybe crackers in the other section.
The Thermos Funtainer: We've always been a fan of thermos funtainers. Rj used that since he was 2 and its super durable, and keeps his water cold all day. We purchased Elias this cute mountain print one to match his lunch box. RJ will be using his same Ninja Turtle one from last year because it looks great, and still functions. Plus he's not complaining about it. One thing we will do, is purchase replacement straws for it. Target sells a 2 pack replacement kit for thermos funtainers for only $4. Buy the funtainer here !
Now lets talk about the shoes:
We LOVE getting breathable, water proof, closed tip shoes for the boys. They seriously own like 10 pairs of crocs. But believe it or not, we got these from Gap! The bottom of the shoes have grips on them, so no matter what surface Elias and RJ decides to run around in, they wont slip! Its great for preschool because the tip of the shoes are closed! Buy the shoes here.
