Family fun at the Zoo

This past weekend, my husband’s job had a company outing, AT THE ZOO!! So far his new company has been nothing but amazing to him and our family. Next month, we are ALL flying out to Boston for a week so Renaldo can meet with a few clients, so needless to say the zoo was the cherry on top!

We’ve been to the Central Florida Zoo before for birthday parties, but it’s been about 2 years since we last went, so RJ vaguely remembers and Elias was just a baby baby.

His company rented out the banquet room for all the employees and their families, and they had a catered lunch which included BBQ foods; Pulled pork, Chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, salad, and deserts. It also had a bar, which had wine, beer and sodas!

Within that banquet room, there was a DJ, face painter and activities for all the kids. After hearing a short message from the CEO, we had a scavenger hunt in the zoo. We raced around the park trying to figure out answers to the questions in under 30 minutes. Unfortunately my husband’s team didn’t win, but it still was a ton of fun. I got to meet all his new co-workers and his company’s executive team (they’re all from Boston).

After the banquet was over, we decided to peacefully walk around the zoo and let the kids look at every animal without the rush of the scavenger hunt!

Afterwards, the boys cooled down in the splash pad! The Splash pad and the children’s garden are two must-do things if you have children under 5!

I wasn’t able to get pictures of everything, because I was simply living in the moment, but here are a few pictures of the boys!
