How to Do Animal Kindom by yourself with 3 or more kids

If you visit Disney World frequently, you’ll understand how difficult it may be to visit the parks with more than 2 kids. Why I say 2, because if you’re by yourself with just 1 or 2 kids, you can still hop on rides all together without worrying about needing another adult to sit with a child. When you have 3+ kids it starts to get tricky. But after going to each park at Disney World by myself with 3+ kiddos, I’ve learned which rides we can all ride, and what to do in lieu of rides.

Instead of making this a super long post sharing every park, I’m going to break it up park by park over the course of 4 weeks. I will share what rides you CAN do with 1 adult and 3 or more kids, live entertainment and the location of the baby care center.

How to do Animal Kingdom by yourself with 3 or more kids:

Animal kingdom is my FAVORITE park to do alone with the kids, simply because there is so much to do and see without riding rides. My kids LOVE animals, so this is also their favorite park of the 4 Disney World theme parks.

Rides you CAN ride:

• Na’vi River Adventure (slow boat ride, each row seats like 6)
• Kilimanjaro Safari (you sit in a safari truck and each row seats about 6)
• They used to have a petting zoo, where you’d take a train to the conservation area. But at this time it’s closed. When it does open, I’ll update this post! This was the kids’ favorite things to do at Animal Kingdom!

Shows/Entertainment:

• Bollywood Beats (Asia)
• Burudika–Afro pop music (Africa)
• Dino-Riffic Dance Party (Dinoland USA)
• Donald’s Dino Bash (Dinoland USA)
• Festival of The Lion King (Africa)
• Finding Nemo The Musical —I highly recommend seeing this!
• Hakuna Matata time dance party
• Kora Tinga Tinga–enjoy the sound of the African Harp (Africa)
• Pandora Drummers–Swotu Waya
• Pandora Rangers
• Rivers of Light–8:45pm ONLY
• Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe (Africa)
• Tree of Life Awakening
• UP! A great bird adventure (Asia)
• Viva Gaia Street Band (Discovery Island)
• It’s Tough To Be A Bug (inside the tree of life)

Things to do:

• Fossil Fun Games–Carnival type games (Dinoland USA)
• The Boneyard–a HUGE playground for kids (Dinoland USA)
• Wilderness Explorers–RJ and Elias LOVE doing this. They have almost collected all their badges. It keeps them busy and engaged! Def check this out next time you’re there!

Baby Care Center:

Offering more than just privacy, Baby Care Centers are fully staffed and feature a host of helpful amenities for parents with infants and toddlers.

Open during regular park hours, each full-service facility is complimentary to use and

includes:

• Private nursing room with rocking chairs
• Changing room with tables and a women’s restroom
• Feeding area with highchairs
• Kitchen with microwave and sink
• Main room with television, table and seating
• On-site shop offering formula, baby food, juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medications and clothing for purchase

We got there around 11am, and left around 4pm. It was just the right amount of time to do what they wanted to do, and see all the animals. But not over work the kids, or for my patience to run out. It was perfect.
