Steroid free eczema spray review
Our oldest and youngest struggle with Eczema. So we’ve been on the eczema struggle bus for 5 straight years. With RJ (our oldest) it use to only be in his face, but as he got older he outgrew the face eczema, and it then moved to his legs. So far for Joel it’s only on his cheeks and forehead, and is bad during cold and dry climates.
But with RJ, he’s the opposite, the summer months is when it gets bad. Right now his skin is dry, but the breakouts happen during the summer. We’ve tried so many prescription ointments, Oils and creams, but what I don’t like about all those, they contain steroids. Steroids will thin your skin out. So unless his breakout is severe, we try not to use them.
One thing to remember with Eczema especially young children with eczema, it itches and it hurts. And young children will just scratch away, and ultimately making the issue worse. My son is a night scratcher, so we must always keep him in long pants to prevent those nasty open wombs. And when you have open wombs they’re more prone to getting infections! (Needless to say, RJ will never ever do high school wrestling, sorry bud).
So we partnered with Skin Smart antimicrobial To try their Eczema Therapy spray. Like I said, we’ve tried it all so we just assumed this would be just another eczema treatment. But I thought wrong! What’s different about this treatment than all the others is that
- it relieves symptoms, soothes, moisturizes and helps heal the skin.
- It contains only pure, naturally-derived ingredients!
- You can use it as many times advanced you want because it’s NOT a hydrocortisone (that was restricted use). It’s actaully best to use every few hours.
- It has no limits on, no warning on use, and can ever be used on the face!
- It is scent free! However, when I sprayed it, it smelt slightly like swimming pool. But in less than a minute the smell went away!
How do we like it?:
weve been using it for over a month now, and I think it’s great! But it doesn’t matter what I think, what matters is what RJ thinks. And he constantly reminds me to spray his “eczema spray”. Whenever his legs are itchy, he will ask me for his spray because it gives him instant relief.
We also love how it dries! It leaves no residue, and dries just like how water on your skin would dry!
Let’s talk results:
It’s only been a month, and so far his skin has improved significantly! The eczema is still there, but it’s not as bad! But what has improved the most is how he copes with it. He’s not scratching his legs, or complaining that it hurts! That’s the biggest thing for me, because on top of seeing the eczema, it hurts me to see him hurting!
Would I recommend it?:
Absolutely! Why wouldn’t you want to try something all natural without any of those harsh chemicals in prescription eczema treatments or hydrocortisone alone? It has helped RJ with the raw irritated parts, and he’s not up all night scratching!
