Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with (lots of) Kids

Thank you Walt Disney World for hosting our family to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

What do you get when you mix the most wonderful time of year with the most magical place on the earth? You get Christmas at Disney World and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I make this very clear when I blog about Disney, but we are HUGE Disney fans and visit bi-weekly, but what you don’t know is that we are CHRISTMAS OBSESSED. We are the ones to decorate our home all things Christmas, blast Christmas music and switch over from Pumpkin Spice to Christmas themed drinks all on November 1st-yep were those people.

So when Disney crosses with Christmas, and throws the ULTIMATE Christmas party of the season- Bonnaire Family is there for it.

A little sappy back story on why I love Christmas at Disney:

Growing up my Uncle used to work at Disney World. So his gift to all of us-my family, my other aunts and uncles, and cousins was a fun family Christmas cheer trip to Disney. We’d buy all the ride pictures, keep our popcorn buckets filled, and all get a Christmas souvenir )usually a snow globe).Looking back, it honestly was the most magical time for me and my family. No matter what we were going through, we were all SO happy to be there together. So now as an adult, I’m beyond thankful to create these same memories with my kids!

So with all that being said….

Here is EVERYTHING you need to know about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party- with kids!

Location: Magic Kingdom

Dates: November 8th-December 22nd

Price: Event tickets start at $99 (if you purchase advance, you can save $10)

Can I go with my regular Disney pass or ticket? No, this is a separate ticketed event.

Times of the party: You can arrive as early as 4pm, but the party doesn’t start until 7pm.

I suggest arriving while it’s daylight to get some pictures before it gets dark. Sunset is usually around 5:30 so count on arriving at 4pm so you have Time to park, walk to the TTC (ticket and transportation center), ride the monorail and get all checked in for the special event.

Is there food: YES!!! With your admission you will receive tons of complimentary treats and holiday beverages. Keep reading, and I’ll share them below!

Expert tips when bringing kids:

  1. Check weather, and dress accordingly: Because the party is during November trough end of December, Florida’s weather can be pretty unpredictable. Could be warm, could be cold, could be rainy. So make sure you plan your clothing accordingly
  2. Bring a blanket: We forgot about “Florida Winter” and didn’t bring Laila a blanket and she was wearing a tutu with her legs out so it was pretty chilly for her. So we ended up. buying a blanket for her. It may not be cold, but Magic Kingdom has a pretty nice breeze, and evening in Florida during nov-dec usually feel pretty nice.
  3. Eat dinner before you go: You will be fed tons of sweets and treats that don’t count as dinner-unless you want it  to lol. But I made sure we got the kids dinner before they went on sugar overload.
    • Our favorite place to eat at Magic Kingdom is Charley’s Corner. They serve Hot dogs served like 10 different ways. I Love the chili cheese dog!!
  4. Plan your evening around the parades, and firework show: We made sure to hit up all our favorite rides, and made our way back to Main Street U.S.A so we can enjoy the exclusive Holiday entertainment.
  5.  Bring the autograph book: You are going to want to get pictures with your favorite Disney characters with the shorter wait times, so don’t forget their autograph book!

Our Honest review:

Is this even a question? We had the best time and the kids loved it. It was a super late night for them because the party runs until midnight, but they were so happy to be there and eating lots of treats! Plus, Disney makes it snow! Yep, you heard that right-snow in Florida, only at Disney World

This is definitely a holiday tradition we will be adopting into our family! There is something for everyone there, no matter where you are from or what you love!

If you can, this is an experience you should plan for, with your family.
