Baby Number 4 Gender Reveal

Almost 2 weeks ago, my husband and I announced that we were expecting our 4th baby! Last week we had no clue if we were going to have a girl or a boy, but we knew regardless of what it was, we would love it unconditionally.

People would always ask me if we wanted a girl, ya know because we already have 3 boys. But I’m going to be completely honest with you all, we really didn’t care. With all three pregnancies prior to this one we secretly hoped for a girl, but this was the first time we didn’t care. After having 3 boys, we actually felt more comfortable with another boy. But in our hearts we’ve always wanted to have at least one girl. Since we first got together, we had a girl name picked out. But we are also firm believers in God’s plan. If it wasn’t in his plan, then we just knew we were meant to be boy parents.

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27

Those were the 2 versus I read and prayed about for this baby. But we all know, God works on his time, not on our own. The timing of this baby is perfect. I’ll talk more about it in another blog post!

So enough talking, here are the pictures of our gender reveal.

We asked Trent (our amazing photographer) to have us close our eyes and tell us to open them when their was enough pink or blue smoke, so our reactions are captured with a lot of smoke not just a trickle.
Right when we opened our eyes, before our mind even processed it was a girl! Trent captured this perfectly!
An entire millisecond later, when we realized the smoke was pink!
Couldn’t even handle ourselves
Our faces say it all!

I may or may not have cried
Renaldo has been waiting for this moment his entire life.
Can you tell?

Elias didn’t want to come near the smoke because he said it was “stinky”. So he’s not in these pictures.

I am absolutely in love with these photos. I had a vision and Trent (owner of Joeandthebear) saw it! I know he shoots a lot at this abandoned greenhouse, and the second I saw it I knew this is where we wanted our photos done. I knew I wanted smoke bombs because I’m dramatic lol. And of course our clothes needed to be very neutral, and looking at these photos it’s exactly what I envisioned and Trent captured it perfectly. Every emotion, every facial expression he caught. I wanted this moment to just be shared with Renaldo, the boys and myself and he made this moment so much more special.

Here are some more family photos of all of us!

Thank you everyone for all the prayers, and kind words. We are over the moon to be adding some pink into our lives. This little girl will be so spoiled, so protected and most all, so loved.

She is already surrounded by so much love, from us, from family and from you all! Can’t wait to share her name with you all.
